Game On with ice fishing in March and Colorado trout on Antero Reservoir! Last Saturday’s crew got the job done icing 20 trout in just the first few hours of daylight. The fish know spring is coming and the ice will be leaving Colorado soon, so the bite is on! Bright colored tube jigs were the hot ticket tipped with your favorite bait, meal worm, waxworm, or shrimp. As usual this ice season the first couple hours of daylight was best with an aggressive trout bite, and slowed to subtle hits as the day progressed. If you’re looking for fish on Antero, put foot to ice and get away from the crowds.
