Ice Fishing is Here in Colorado!

The ice has finally come here to Colorado with 11 Mile Reservoir carrying 5 to 6 inches of ice and the ice fishing being fair to good for trout. The trout seem to be on the move in 11 Mile, with one area fishing good one day and fair the next. So stay on the move to get on the bite. Small plastic jigs tipped with mealworms has been doing the trick. Colors have varied depending on the group of fish and their attitude, from natural colors like greens and browns to bright colors like white and pink.

Fishing is not a hobby, it's my lifestyle. If I'm not on the water, I'm thinking about being on the water. Obviously obsessed, the fishing journey has carried me across the Rocky Mountains eventually across the states, where I encountered the term "FishHead" for the first time. "FishHead" - a person who is completely consumed by the thoughts of fishing; an incurable sickness caused by fishing that consumes a person during all awake hours and usually persists throughout the sleep cycle.
