Colorado walleye fishing is just getting better by the week. Now that stable warm water temps are here, the walleye bite has been consistently good with walleye being caught by a variety of techniques and locations. Seems like there are small groups of walleye spread throughout main lake structures like islands, points, mud flats, etc. Different groups of walleye are behaving differently but seems like there are a few fisher friendly walleye almost in every group you come across on your graph. Live bait finesse presentations have been working well like a twister-tail tipped with a crawler or a slip bobber rigged with a leech or crawler. Tubes and plastic swimbaits are also taking some nice walleye. The fish seem to be following the typical walleye behavior with low-light conditions like sunrise and sunset being the most active time for the walleye bite, with the fishing slowing down and the walleye moving deeper as the sun peaks.
