Spring walleye fishing in Colorado can be hit and miss especially with these big cold fronts that have been moving through Colorado. Spring walleye can be difficult to locate and even more difficult to catch. Pay close attention to the water temps and the walleye's reaction to your baits on the graph. Some walleye just won't move to look at a bait and other walleye will travel half the water column to check out your lure. Spend time on the walleye that seem active on the graph and stay versatile with your fishing strategies from hard-baits to soft-plastics to live-bait.
